Pumpkin Carving

October 17, 2014

It's never too late to start a tradition, and at our home, we started our first pumpkin carving tradition. Let me say, other people make this look easy, but it's darn right messy. The end result was definitely great, and the kids were completely happy, but pumpkins have so much guts! Thank god for Target! I was able to get a pumpkin carving kit for $10.00 dollars, and a Stencil book for $4.00 dollars. To be honest the stencil book was a great idea when I bough it, but the pumpkins we had were too small for the stencils; so, I free-handed the smaller one, and with the bigger one I was able to copy one of the stencil ones by hand only. We are going pumpkin picking again for bigger ones, this way I can get a bang for my buck! The pumpkin carving kit was the best, and so easy and functional to use. I never carved a pumpkin before, and the kit made it so easy and fun!

You can find both products above in the Target store, or you can try these out if carving is not your thing:
