Shiloh's 1st Birthday!

November 24, 2014

On November 17th 2013, the universe, and my hour long pushing, brought forth Shiloh Bear. Now, a year later, I get to celebrate his 1 year. This moment is beyond exciting, because I was doubting myself so much as a mother. I wondered for months if I was capable of keeping another human being alive, but hey, I did it! Now, party planning this milestone was beyond exhausting, but so rewarding. I had a lot of help from family, friends, and Pinterest.

Growing up I had over themed birthday parties, filled with dancing, an abundance of food, and games. I know the trend right now is classic, neutral, and pom pom decorations, but that's not me. I don't necessarily like all that cookie cutter stuff, so I made this Yo! Gabba Gabba party the best way I know how, big and bold! We had a pinata, a pin the eye on the Muno game, and a Hold Still game. All the games were inspired by Yo! Gabba Gabba. The favor bags I made for the kiddos were all custom made for each child. All the favor bags also had Yo!Gabba Gabba T-Shirts I made with iron on paper I bought from Target.

For the day of his birthday I bought a small baby smash cake from the supermarket, and for the day of his birthday I made his cake. It was funfetti cake, but he really enjoyed it, and that's all that matters to mama!

Take a look at all the fun:

xoxo, Annie
