Fig & Olive

August 9, 2016

It was a mama night this past Friday. We had dinner reservation at Fig & Olive for restaurant week. It's a lovely and spacious Mediterranean restaurant located in the meatpacking district in NYC. We had a perfect starter, appetizer, entree, and desert. We also had these lavender infused margaritas that obviously made us want more and more. The margaritas were named "Provence margarita." It was a perfect mix of lavender and liquor or as their menu stated "a classic margarita with a provincial twist." Fig & Olive offered a 3 course meal for $42- this is just for restaurant week which is going on until August 18th. Each plate was the perfect portion and immensely flavored with Mediterranean aspects. The service was also stupendous, and the waiter looked like Cole from Charmed, so ladies, you know that was a plus!

For starters we had crostini's chosen by the chef for the table- it came with 3 to share. We also had the fig & olive salad, and fitters for appetizers. The entrees were a Paella del Mar and the Mediterranean Branzino- which is a fish, we had to google it before ordering. Haha. Lastly, for dessert they only had two options- a strawberry vacherin and a chocolate pot de crème.

I'm not great at taking food images, because I'm better at eating food, but these came out pretty good. So take a look at our meal, and we hope that it will send you running to Fig & Olive.
